GeoTrek - Go Fly a Frisbee
Time: 7:00 pm
Date: June 19, 2008
Location: Birch Hill Recreation Area
Calling all Alaskan Cachers! Summer is here and we are looking
forward to exciting time of Geocaching and summer activities.
This event will feature the outdoor Frisbee course located at
Birch Hill Recreation Area. The course consists of 9 holes of
frisbee golf and contests will be held for the lowest score as well
as the highest score. This event also provides a great way to learn
gps features including marking waypoints, tracks, directions, and
the internal features of speed, distance, time, etc.
If you need a frisbee, please let us know as there are always a
few extra somewhere in the closets. Or ... Wally World sells dog
frisbees for $1.00 which is the cheapest admission that I've seen
this summer to any event.
This is one more event tied to our 2008 "Hike, Bike, or Float
the Alaskan Outdoors" GeoTrek Summer Series.
As always, we will look to do any CITO that is available and
travel bugs and coins are highly encouraged to attend.
