A small cache with a few little trinkets. Chances are that you have passed by this many times and always wondered what was up there, much like myself. A very interesting historic site. Please be respectful of the area. I recommend parking in the plaza at 5 points and walking up. Enjoy.
**please make sure you seal the ziplock bag that contains the log book as this is a damp area**
Sandy Bank Burial Ground is part of an original land grant from William Penn to William Taylor in 1682. Donated in July 1691 by Thomas Powell to the Thomas Minshall Friends Meeting for use as "a burying place". The oldest graves are marked by rough field stones and date from 1704. Buried here are various members of the Taylor Family whose descendant, Zachary Taylor, became the 12th president of the United States in 1849.
