September 6, 2008 by jahoadi and john (13609 found) I think I made this a bit harder than I should have. I came from the RIP Pine Grove cametary cache and was trying to get to the High gear 3rd gear cache, so I took NF-099 to within .36 of this cache. Then it was strait up to the goods. 675 feet of elevation gain on this hike of 19 minutes up!!! 6800 feet to 7475 feet. Grabbed the goods and logged in. I think I saw where I could have driven on a different dirt road and it wouldn't have been so hard. Terrific, terrific area with great views!! It took me 14 minutes to get down the steep hill. Thanks for the motivation to get out here. Jahoadi and John

March 31, 2008 by Desert GeoCat (65 found) We found it after a steep hike without roads or trails, was not easy. Saw quad tracks, but not sure we would have driven ours up there.. The coordinates were right on, and it's a good thing the cache was there or it would have been "mutiny on the hill"!! Took sunglasses and bungee cord (there were five of us - two adults and three kids) and left money. I have been saying that most caches are too easy to get but this one proved me wrong. Going up the canyon we chose to hike up a road on course to the right, but I think it might have been easier going on the left fork of the road. The road to the right stopped anyway. The climb might have been shorter taking the left road. Take water -
