LLKD-69 Down
But Not Out
Next in the
series of horizontal or nearly so live trees (
Just Like Amani,
Defying Gravity) comes Down But Not Out.
While spending
a wonderful Mothers Day at Garvies Point Preserve my wife pointed
the tree out. As I happened to have a cache with me my
daughter went about setting it. My son then came up with the name.
Truly a family hide. Lovely spot right off the #3 path
opposite the pond. The cache is located just up the trunk
from the root. This is a high traffic area so please rehide
better than you find.
The museum at
Garvies Point is a wonderful place to take the kids. Also
there is clay right at the surface down by the waters edge.
My children would have spent hours "digging" it up and making
various things out of it. There is no charge for parking and
walking the preserve. There is a charge for the museum.
Nassau County Parks at their finest.
