Geocache Description:

You are looking for my favorite type of cache - an ammo can in the woods. This is the 50 cal variety so keep that in mind for your search.

This cache is on the northern segment of the Gold Dust Trail http://www.hikeparkcounty.com/ModerateHikes/Gold%20Dust/topoGoldD.htm . Do not trust your in car navigation devices as the trail is not open to vehicles. I have provided parking coordinates for the northern end of the trail near the top of Boreas Pass.

The Gold Dust Trail is in 3 segments and there is parking available at the ends of each of the segments. This northern section is also shown on some maps as Old Boreas Wagon Road and should you choose to ride your mountain bike, the map shows you should ride it one way down hill. The southern terminus of this section (and northern terminus of the central section) is on Forest Road 801.

Since this is in the trees, reception may be sketchy. The cache is tucked away, but not covered with anything so you should be able to spot it
