Geocache Description:

A virtual cache on St. Paul's uppermost gallery.

*NOTE: THERE IS A FEE FOR ENTERING ST. PAULS.* ALSO: THE UPPER GALLERIES ARE OFTEN CLOSED FOR BUILDING WORKS SO ANY PHOTO FROM ST. PAULS WILL COUNT AS A FIND.

There is a fee to enter St. Paul's.

The only negative comments I ever get about this cache are about the fee to get in. Check st. Paul's website for days when the entry is reduced or free: https://www.stpauls.co.uk/visits/visits/sightseeing-times-prices Most people think it's worth it once they've been up there.

To count this cache, you must send me a picture (or link to a picture) of St. Paul's or environs from the Golden Gallery. Recent construction may restrict you to the whispering gallery, or even outside, so a photo will count as a find. To reach the top you must be fit enough to climb a lot of stairs! But not all at once, there are some narrow landings. You can get a great shot of the river from up there. It's a view worth the effort, I assure you! Check the gallery for previous visitors' awesome shots. I've been to St. Paul's several times now, but no one I know has been to the top of the dome. Be sure to have a good look around the inside of the dome, it's a very different perspective than from the church floor. AND since you're already that high up, why not go the rest of the way and claim this cache? They don't allow photos inside the Cathedral but on top it's OK.

I wouldn't even put a micro-cache in someone's church, so a virtual cache it is. *NOTE* There is a fee to enter St. Paul's.*NOTE* This can be some serious bragging rights for those willing to make the climb thru narrow passages, up stone and metal stairs, and out onto the gallery. There are rails and places to rest, so you needn't make it all in one push. I noticed some odd readings on the elevation here, and it may help to move to different corners to get a good signal lock. The mobile phone reception is excellent btw. ;) nearest Tube: St. Paul's
