Geocache Description:

It’s a well-known fact that people who have retired do not know how they ever had time to work. So it is worth making plans to try and cram everything in!

Mondays (Shopping) and Tuesdays (Gardening) give you the north and west co-ordinates for DIY Orange Wednesdays (Relocated).
Thursdays (Hiding) and Fridays (Archaeology) give you the north and west co-ordinates for Saturdays (Walking).
DIY Orange Wednesdays (Relocated) and Saturdays (Walking) give you the north and west co-ordinates for Sunday lunch.

Not so far away from where we live are two causewayed enclosures, several Iron Age hill forts, a castle, much industrial archaeology and some from the First World War. And those are the ones we know about! This cache takes you to Castle Ring. The car park for Castle Ring is at N52 42.697 W001 56.129, and opposite the entrance is the Park Gate Inn.

It would have been nice to have hidden the cache in the middle of the hill fort, but it would have been a bit too visible, so you’ll have to cross the moat and follow the highest bank until some steps take you down the ditch.

(The cache container is a smallish plastic sandwich box) NOT ANY MORE!!!!!
It only contains a log sheet and of course the west co-ordinate for Saturdays (Walking), so you will need to bring your own pen.
