Geocache Description:

This cache is dedicated to my father who passed away in 2000. This cache is on US Forest Service and off of the beaten path. Depending on the season the cache difficulty will go from 2.5 to 5+ as will the terrain. You might be able to find the cache in early winter but I'd guess mid November thru April the cache will be covered by snow. There are a couple ways to get to this cache so take your pick.

This cache was placed to honor my father who died in 2000. Dad would have loved caching and My brother and I decided this would be a great way to honor him. We thought about where to place the cache and there was really only one place that would be suitable. This area was one of our favorite places to both summer and winter camp with the boy scouts. Dad was the scout master for for BSA Troop 268 out of Boulder CO and we really specialized in winter camping. We built amazing snow caves and igloos in this area. More than once we helped lost and or stranded X-country skiers make it safely back to their vehicles. Dad taught so many of us so much I can't even begin to cover it all. Dad loved this area, I hope you do to. The original cache contents includes a Longs Peak GeoCoin dedicated to dad, a survival blanket, a couple swag items for kids and a track-able or two.
