Come join me for a pre-International EarthCache CITO Event at the park. The stated coordinates are for the parking area just outside the park. (There are other parking areas inside the park.) There will be two main areas for clean up with two levels of physicality. The first and most physical will be the old roadway path that winds around the outside of the park. The second and less physical will be inside the park. Both areas contain active caches (listed below). (If someone is so inclined, the sidewalk area next to the roadway also needs a little clean-up.)
We will gather at 8:00 a.m. for instructions, signing the log, chit-chat, etc. before grabbing a trash bag and heading off at 8:15. Trash pick-up will last until 9:15 at which time we can gather for a "job-well-done" photo-op. (I'll have to learn how to use that special function on my camera.)
Water and trash bags will be provided. Please bring your own gloves, pick-up sticks, etc.
There are two caches inside the park: GC5TQXH and GC5TKN2.
There are two caches along the trail: Jeff Bouldin's Bingo Challenge (GC2G3RG) toward the end of the trail, and one in the middle that I have yet to find (GC1MEYW). There will be a third cache on the trail to be activated the day of the event (if all goes as planned).
