This event is coordinated to be part of the (World Wide Flash Mob) event Saturday, June 13, 2015 at 11:00 MDT. Thousands of geocachers at hundreds of coordinated events worldwide, will be gathering at the same time!
It starts at 10:45 a.m and ends at 11:15 a.m in accordance with the new Geocaching rules that flash mob events are now a minimum of 30 minutes.
Show up a few minutes before flash time. Wait in your car or stroll the lake shore until 10:45 a.m. at which time we will descend upon ground zero. Please bring a card or piece of paper with your geocaching name on it. You will drop these into a container I will have at GZ. This is an all weather event !
Canyon Lake is one of Rapid City's best fishing locations. Old and young fishing fans enjoy the view, the sport and the relaxation they find with a line in the lake and a bobber. You can hop on your bicycle and follow the Leonard Swanson bike path west to Canyon Lake Park. Goldfish crackers will be served during the 1/2 hour event. Wear fishing gear or gear with fish on it. We will snap some group photos and hang out. At 11: 15 we will begin to disperse and blend into the crowd enjoying the Lake.
