Geocache Description:

Fagnoon cache in the middle of rural Egyptian life

When you are visiting Egypt and go to both the Giza and the Sakkara pyramids, then this is the perfect stopover along the way, especially if you have kids with you. This is one of those places in the middle of Egyptian rural life that you may not have found if you were not looking for it. It is a great place to spend a day. Bring a picnic and have fun!

You should stay on the road close to the desert (along the Mansoureya 'Canal" if you go from Giza to Sakkara in order to come by this place. You'll have to cross the 'canal' over a small bridge to get to the entrance.
The people that run the place also have their own 'caching game' with their own treasure maps and they were interested to know about this worldwide game!

If you just go in and grab the cache, you can do that, but if you have children with you and would want to stay longer for them to really play there and make some nice pottery you'll have to pay a fee of LE30 (appr. $5) per child...

Have fun & good luck finding it!

A number of people thought they could not pass the bridge over the canal by car. There is really no problem at all with that as we've done it many times ourselves :-)
