Located in Desmond’s Pond Park in South Windsor, this multi-cache is dedicated to those with a joy for collecting coins. This is a short walk; the real difficulty is to not be seen finding the cache and getting past our round-the-clock guards.
The pond is a part of the South Windsor Land Trust and its inhabitants will likely greet you as you enter the small park in search of a handout (you may want to bring some bread). Please, only exchange unique or foreign coins and tokens. There is room for small travel bugs; this is an excellent spot to drop off a geocoin.
Go to the above coordinates and find the date by the duck. To determine the next coordinates, add the first two digits (thousands and hundreds) to the below N coordinate and the last two digits (tens and ones) to the W coordinate: N 41 50.189 W 072 33.571.
Example: Date found – 1886.
N 41 50.185 + 18 = N 41 50.203
W072 33.571 +86 = W 072 33.657.
Most dogs probably won't get along with the local inhabitants. This is a snow friendly cache.
