How Geocaching Works
Located on a mini Fantasy Island. You might find yourself exclaiming the cache name once in a while here, as it is near the Sky Harbor Airport.
This cache is accessable by boat in the summer or by ice in the winter. Remember, there is no such thing as safe ice! During summer months, be wary of nearby boats when paddling here, this is the channel to the Barker's Island Marina. This is a big bucket container but not quite as big as a 5-gallon. Filled with goodies to start you off. Enjoy your trip out to this little island and enjoy the view. In the winter the snow forms fantastic waves! Do not park by the Ballast Water site. Tempting as it is, that is private property and your car may be towed. Keep in mind that if you park in the wayside lot for the historical marker (along 53), that you will be crossing train tracks and you could get "stranded" by a very long train blocking your way. This is why I have included the parking waypoint, it is the safest place to park in the winter.
