GEO-WEDDING EVENT
Sunday, August 10, 2008
1:00 PM Geocaching Wedding
Lunch and Reception to follow
For our friends coming from Midwest Geo-Bash, we
will be in the park for the evening so you can plan to stop by -
either at the picnic area or the group camping area.
Nagawaukee Park Picnic Area #3, Waukesha County
Park
Our event will be held Rain or shine as we have rented a
large tent with tables and chairs. Those
posting a "will attend" after Sunday, August 3 are still welcome to
come but we may need to ask that you use the parks tables. We
needed to confirm the tent size, table, chair and food count
today.
Our catered lunch will include grilled brats, sandwiches,
assorted salads and cupcakes.
TEMPORARY CACHES
As this is a geocaching event, we have 8 "wedding theme"
temporary caches complete with trade swag planned for you to enjoy
after our ceremony and lunch. You may log an "attended" log on this
event for each temp found, if you choose to do so. Geocachers,
we have muggle friends who are asking if we might be able to team
them up with you to search for the caches .. they would like to
learn how. Additionally, there are 3 temp caches for campers
only that will be available any time during the weekend.
Attendee's will be responsible for paying the $5 per car daily
admission at the park entrance, have a 2008 Waukesha County
Park sticker or must have stayed in either the group or family
camping on Saturday night.
CAMPING: Nagawaukee Park offers both Group and Family
Camping. We have reserved Group Camp Site #4 (N43 03.361 W88
22.503) for the weekend. Pop-up Campers and tents are welcome
to join us any or all / the nights of
- Friday August 8

family for those without a yearly sticker or $11.50 per night per
family for those with a yearly sticker. (The camping fee INCLUDES
your daily park admission fee to all the Waukesha County Parks.)
Reservations are necessary, as of Sunday, August 3rd .. there is
plenty of space yet.
As our official/ legal wedding will be taking place on Friday
evening August 8 at 8 PM at another location. We will join the
campers after our family activities are completed.
Family camping (individual sites) are available on a first-come,
first-served basis in another area of the park for those seeking
more privacy.

We need to know how many of you are planning to attend so we
have enough food, tables and chairs.
If you are planning just to stop in to chat, that is fine too,
just let us know in your log.
If you are planning to join us for group camping we need to know
if you are bringing a pop-up or tent as there is only so much
space.
"Why a geocaching wedding? The Tapps & I met at the first
Waukesha Winter JanBoree event that I was hosting. We worked
together on the first Waukesha Geo: 101 class several months later.
Pretty much, we got to know each other through our geocaching
adventures and event co-hosting. It only seemed fitting to share
our day with you. Special thanks to my parents for assisting us
with the planning and coordination of this day.

This event page will be updated as
needed.
What should one wear to a Geocaching
Wedding?
Casual/Outdoor attire will be just fine! The Tapps & I will
be wearing real tree camo shorts, hiking boots and our GPSr's on
our side.
