Geocache Description:

You may not have met Square Bear, but you've probably tried to find at least one of his sneaky geocaches hidden around the Skagit Valley. Along with doing a fantastic job as this year's WSGA representative for the 48 North chapter, Ray has caused many of us sleepless nights looking for his geocaches.

Well, it's PAYBACK TIME!!

You're invited to an evening of fun, fun, fun, as we give Square Bear a good old fashioned geo-roast before his career takes him back east.

  • The date is Saturday, September 29, from 6-8 p.m. at Alfy's Pizza, 1060 South Burlington Boulevard. Bring your hearty appetites to enjoy discounted pizza, try some of their other menu offerings including a good soup and salad bar, or just grab a cold beverage.
  • After dinner, anyone that would like to can share a funny story about Square Bear, his caches, his Jeep, or his habit of wearing kilts. If you don't know any stories, you can just make one up, or enjoy other cacher's tales about him. Remember that this is all meant to be in good fun, and any stories must be intended for a family audience!
  • If you'd like, please bring a nice geo-swag item to add to a special geocache that will be hidden to honour one of Skagit county's wiliest geocachers. There will also be a new geocache or two hidden in the area for some after-dinner fun, along with the usual drawing for some giveaway goodies!
  • Families and kids are especially encouraged to attend, and you don't need to be a WSGA member to join in the fun -- all are welcome!

If you are a geocacher in the state of Washington, please join the Washington State Geocaching Association. This is a great way to get the most out of geocaching in our region. Simply go to geocachingwa.org for details!
