While bicycling into work with my wife, we saw an Osprey
building a nest at a new bird sanctuary. The area, up to couple of
years ago, was a small farm. This last year or so it has been
'redesigned' to accommodate birds. The new nesting pole is being
put to use. Bring binoculars. The cache is along a bike/pedestrian
path running along the river. Public parking is available at 47
29.306 122 16.002. The trail sees a lot of use, so be discreet.

Bird of Prey Prayer
Now I fold my wings to stoop,
A little critter for my soup,
If I should miss my prey today,
I'll flap my wings and fly away.
5-21-04 Update: This morining while biking to work we saw TWO
Osprey at the the nest! Early morning is a good time to see them,
at 7:30-40 they were there, at 8:00 they were gone. I don't know
their evening schedule.
4-22-05 Update: The Osprey appear to be back! I'll be watching
the nest to see what happens this year.
