Geocache Description:

On northern shores of pictuersque Lough Fadd.

Cache is located on a section of The Ulster Way. There are many possible approaches but convenient parking can be found at N54*26.210 W007*54.393, the entrance to Conagher Forest, from where you can follow The Ulster Way along forest tracks and waymarked trails. The terrain isn't particularly steep but some sections are quite rough and can be very muddy.
Plan your hunt using O.S. Discovery Series (sheet 17) Lower Lough Erne. Avoid the Ulster Way section immediately north west of Lough Fadd as it has become overgrown and is virtually impassible. With this in mind, continue along the forest track to where it ascends around a sharp right hand bend. On the left you'll find a waymarked trail, it can be difficult to spot. Follow this trail to Lough Fadd. Enjoy!!
**Reasonable caution should be exercised around the cache site which is close to a heather covered slope**.
P.S. En route, a very short detour to N54*25.696 W007*53.605 can be taken to a memorial errected on the site of the former homestead of a William Ferguson and family. It is a pleasant place to lunch and some of the names and dates make interesting reading.
