Geocache Description:

Please note: This is usually winter friendly, but can get iced shut. Should be able to open with a pipe wrench in either summer or winter.

This is one of only 2 caches here with a 24 hr. availability. NRBO stands for Naugatuck River Basin Office. This is the office of the head of all the dams in the Naugatuck River Basin, which include: Hop Brook Lake, Hancock Brook Lake, Stamford Hurricane Barrier, Thomaston Dam, Black Rock Dam, Northfield Brook Dam and Colebrook Dam. Take some time to sit and enjoy the bluebird boxes that are set up on the grounds, take in the sights and sounds of this peaceful environment. Hopefully, you will enjoy searching for this cache. It may be tough to find. Check out a cache hidden in the area we call Pakovitch Pond. There is an entrance about 100’ up the road to get to the trails.
