Geocache Description:

Set 1800feet up in the high Pennines near Dufton. This geological formation is one of the most spectacular in England. Well we think so!

The Cache is set just below one of the imposing cliffs at the end of 'The Nick'.
The shortest route in is about 2.5 miles. Slightly longer but an easier route for the most part is nearer to 3.5 miles. The last bit is quite difficult, either going upto the cache or down to it.
In anything beyond dry conditions it could be VERY slippery, it is a STEEP slope! We had about 15 people looking on from 1/2 a mile away while we put this out, but no one seemed inclined to come down to see what we were upto.
The GPSr can lose the Satellites quite easily around the cliffs.
The views up here are worth the walk alone.

It's double boxed in modern click lock boxes.

If you visit please sign the log rather than leave a calling card - they tend to clutter the box and absorb moisture - the box is now much smaller - thanks.
