Crazy Eggs: A Hanging Curve Traditional Cache

This cache has been archived.

FuzzWuzz: I'm sad to see this one go. This was one of my favorites and I'm humbled by the 30 favorite points awarded during its tenure, but now the whole area has been razed in preparation for some kind of new construction. Thanks to all who visited and enjoyed this cache, and a special thanks to TeeDeeKay for including me in his Crazy Eggs cache series.

Geocache Description:

A celebration of Easter, spring, and the start of baseball season.

A curveball that a pitcher fails to put enough spin on will not break much and is colloquially called a "hanging curve". Hanging curves are usually disastrous for a pitcher because the low speed, non-breaking pitch is left high in the strike zone, almost as if on a tee, waiting for the batter to hit it out of the park.

"For a pitcher, a mortal sin. He who hangs too many curves, soon hangs up his glove forever."
- Jim Brosnan, "The Long Season", 1960

Cache is located in the Frank Bartolf Sports Complex. Please take note of the cache details and replace as found for the next cacher.

A nod to TeeDeeKay & JerseyEric for the inspiration.
