This cache is accessed from the "Homestead Trail" trailhead off Valley Road. There is a pleasant walk on trails and through the woods. There is one crossing that can get muddy but if you walk close to the edge of the woods near the powerlines you will find a makeshift "bridge". Access can also be had by walking the "Homestead Trail" to the powerlines and then following the powerlines closer the the cache in the woods.
"Faerie Aerie" should please young and old alike. A project with my kids, this is a "lofty" cache. The original contents include a log book, pencil, some stickers, pins, parachute dude, and some other stuff. Also inside is a Travel Bug, dubbed "Quinn's Mad Science", that is using "Faerie Aerie" as the starting point of it's journey. The goal of this TB is to travel the world (or as much as possible) and make it home in a year or two). Thanks for helping.
Given the location of this cache, winter snows should not be a problem. This aerie stays open year round.
Caution: Careful when removing the cache box to not pull down the faeries home.
