This is the seventh round of the MAC-WAR Eagle geocache series. This is placed at the home of Boy Scout Troop 261 Church of Latter Day Saints – Sioux City Ward. There are nine requirements for the Geocaching merit badge. Here is a brief summary of the requirements.

Learn potential hazards, first aid and the use of a GPS. 2. Learn about geocaching etiquette and Cache-In-Trash-Out. 3. Learn basic geocaching terminology. 4. Using the EDGE Method (Explain-Demonstrate-Guide-Enable) to your counselor the use of the GPS Unit. 5. Use of Map and Compass. Compare GPS, Map, Compass and Universal Transverse Mercator (UTM) measurements and use. 6. Boy Scouts of American defines geocaching in 4 steps – Research, Safety, the Hunt and the actual find. 7. On Geocaching.com find 3 Caches nearby – go find one. 8. Do one of the following – Find 3 CACHE TO Eagle Series caches OR Create a Scout related Travel Bug and release and monitor OR Set up and hide a public geocache OR Host a Cache In Trash Out (CITO) Event. 9 Set up a Geohunt Course with 4 waypoint/caches.
