Come explore these hills which the Simi Fault Line also known as the Santa Rosa Fault Line. Not much is known about the Simi Fault Line except that it is 40 KM long and it is a reverse fault. This fault is very slowly splitting these hills apart in certain parts of these mountains. The Simi Fault runs through Simi Valley, Santa Susana, Moorpark, and Camarillo. This fault is able to produce a larger size earthquake but geologists dont know what magnitude as the fault line hasn't ruptured in years.
Logging Requirements:
1) Look at the coordinates on your G.P.S.
2) Do you think the coordinates at this exact spot will be different as years go on?
3) If your G.P.S. tells elevation what do you think the elevation will be years from now? Do you think it will be higher, lower, or stay the same? Why?
4) Take a picture with you in the picture and the hills in the back and post it in the gallery.
**** Make sure all of this information is included in the log ****
