Geocache Description:

A puzzle cache designed for kids (and adults!)

Attention all Spy Kids!

You have been chosen by the Geocaching Secret Service to be a candidate to join their highly covert organization!

To prove you are a qualified spy, you must perform well on four tasks assigned by your leader.

The first trial, organized by the G.S.S. Decryption Department will require you to crack an enemy secret code. To assist you, our Advanced Intelligence Department has issued you a Secret Decoder ring.

The cipher below, along with the coordinates at the top of the page, will provide the information you need to complete your first mission (and find the Mission #1 cache!)

Here are your instructions:

(Work quickly, the instructions are designed to self destruct in 10 seconds!)

First, print and cut out your two secret decryption rings, (See link below)

Next, cut out the small window on the Cipher Ring, marked “index.”

Finally, poke a hole in the center of each ring, then thread a brad to connect the rings. Or you can push a pin through the center of each ring then into the tip of a pencil eraser. Note that the smaller ring (“Cipher”) goes on top of the larger ring.
(See photo below) Now you are ready to get to work!

Set your index to “7” [make sure you can see the “7” in the window for the entire cipher!] Here’s your assignment:

Find the cipher letter on the outer ring, then write down the letter beneath it as “actual.”
