DATE: Saturday, August 16, 2014
WHERE: Arkansas Museum of Natural Resources (3 geocaches are here!)
10:00 a.m. - Gather to visit with friends and/or tour the museum
11:30 a.m. - Time to eat
12:30 p.m. - Time to give away door prizes and recognize geocachers
1:30 p.m. - Event over. Go find some caches!
We will be meeting outside at a concrete area behind and under the museum which will be protected from rain and sun. There are a few picnic tables, but you may want to bring a folding chair. There are air conditioned restrooms in the museum. If you want to volunteer for something, simply post a note or e-mail Bronco's Girl (cjhnsn@sbcglobal.net), or plsellers or allenearl58.
FOOD: This year LSUfan will be cooking hot dogs and pulled pork sandwiches. The rest of the food is potluck. If you will, please bring drinks, beans, chips, desserts, plastic ware, paper products, etc.
DOOR PRIZES: If you would like to donate a gift to be given away as a door prize, we would be happy to put it on the door prize and give-away table.
PHOTO CONTEST: This year, you get to select and submit your own photos. Just upload your photo(s) to this geocaching page with a note and some information about each photo. Be sure to do this several days in advance of the event so Bronco's Girl can download the photos and have them printed and mounted for viewing. We will be voting AT THE EVENT and there will be a list of photos and ballots at the event for you to use in voting for your favorite photo. You may enter as many photos as you want to.
MILESTONES: As usual, we would like to know in advance if you will be celebrating a geocaching milestone and will be attending the event.
THEME. This year the theme is CACHING SUPPLIES and we will have a display table and other information about caching supplies. It will be appreciated if you bring something for show and tell relating to the theme. Also, feel free to give away any caching supplies of which you have an abundance.
