Nice view of Wanaque Resevoir and the surrounding mountains. Not far from an old tall abandoned stone structure. This is a water tower for the old Van Slyke Mansion further south on the trail. Read about it at this link.
Cache is a 50 caliber ammo box. Some of the original contents are a Compaq hard drive carrying case, a set of wrenches, a deck of cards, a Cinderella book, tape measure, a 12 oz sinker, a racquetball, a golf ball, 2 pence from England, 5 cents from Netherlands, a new watch battery, etc. Park on top of Skyline Drive near Lake Tamarack entrance. Use the white trail off the Cannonball trail to get here.
