Olive Library Meeting Event Cache
jazzycat2: This meeting was fairly well attended given the horrible weather and the difficulty in promotion to the community. (The local newspaper forgot to publish the notice.)
I am expecting to repeat the event later this year. Hope to meet some new geocachers.

This meeting will be held at the Olive Free Library on April 30, 2005, at 1:00PM. At the request of the librarian, my daughter and I along with a couple of other geocaching friends will be presenting a short introduction into Geocaching to the community. After a discussion on how to get started, we plan on hiding a new geocache, nearby, in memory of my Dad who passed away recently. He was a lifelong resident of the area and a surveyor by profession. Although health issues prevented him from tracking down many geocaches, he believed this sport was a great way to get people outdoors and learn about navigation. Anyway, we would like to meet fellow geocachers and could sure use the help introducing Geocaching to some new people.
