It's That Time Again ..... Can we out-do last year's 14 plus bags of litter and more??
Come join us for a little Celebration clean-up! Saturday, April 17th, 12 noon to 4 p.m., rain or shine!
Earth-friendly suggestion: Quietly go to TravisL's "Lake Kilarney" cache site from 9 a.m. to 12 noon to preface the Celebration Event. The local Americorps team is doing some major trail maintenance and clean-up at this "park with a cache".
Working with City of Federal Way Parks Department for this SECOND Annual CITO event!!Are you ready?!?! Come as you are and be on time, we're set to clean-up this Federal Way jewel. If you have a pair of work gloves, you're encouraged to bring them! Otherwise, we will supply latex gloves (hopefully One Size Fits All!) Standard refuse bags as well as CITO event refuse bags (first 50)will also be provided.
Bring a sack lunch and something to add to a geocache that will be put together and given by name drawing to CITO event attendee for placement (Will TravisL win?!?!)
You'll find the park at: 1095 South 324th Street, Federal Way, WA 98003.
Driving Directions:
From I-5 -
Take Exit 142B
North I-5 - Merge w/westbound traffic, under I-5 onto S. 348th St.
South I-5 - Turn right at light onto S. 348th Street (end of Hwy 18)
From Highway 18
Continue west under I-5, changing into S. 348th Street
Go westbound on S. 348th Street to Ninth Avenue South (third light)
Right onto Ninth Avenue South, go north through S. 336th Street
Follow the road, as it veers right
Follow the road, as it veers left
Parking lot and fields are on the left.
