Geocache Description:


This virtual cache is at the little known Susanna Bixby-Bryant Ranch House Museum and Botanic Garden located in Yorba Linda. It is in its 25th year of being recognized on the U.S. Register of Historic Places. It can be accessed Only on the 1st Saturday of the month from 1:30 p.m. to 3:30 p.m. and is closed all holidays, including Mother’s Day and Father’s Day. A donation/admission of $2.00 for adults and $1.00 for children is requested. Phone (714)694-0235 if you want to check whether the museum is open. It is run by a staff of very friendly volunteers.

Note: We will attempt to keep you informed of any dates that the museum may NOT be open and that are NOT regularly scheduled holidays. However, it would be best for you to phone the museum at the above number for confirmation before you plan your visit.

UPDATED 09/17/2022 -- As of this date, THE MUSEUM IS NOW OPEN on a regular schedule -- but ONLY ON THE 1ST SATURDAY OF THE MONTH (hence the name change from "Only on Sunday"!).

Plan to spend an hour or more at this hidden gem. The museum is in a restored ranch house and includes displays ranging from a mastodon jawbone to old medical equipment to local historical artifacts and photos. Changing exhibits have included World War II memorabilia, wedding gowns from 100 years ago, and ladies hats and undergarments.

The clue answers may be found in or on displays, plaques, signs, or other items located throughout the house or garden. These clue answers will not spell anything, but they will be used as a "password" that you MUST send to us by clicking on our profile name found under the cache title above, click on "Send Message" on the profile page, and include in your e-mail the "password" that you assembled by answering the 17 questions. If we DO NOT receive your e-mail within a week of your posting a find, your log WILL be deleted.
