Sig Item Bonanza Traditional Geocache

This cache has been archived.

MikeOtt: Its had a good run. Since its very far from any trails and difficult to get to in warm months, its time to put to rest, especially since its time for state park renewals

Geocache Description:

Cache hide # 100 for me needs a big cache and this one is a gigantic ammo can that I won at summer MGS event.

This cache contains plenty of room for normal swag. It also contains a large collection of signature items including path tags, wooden nicklels, poker chips and business cards. When I cleaned out and organized my signature items collection, these were all the duplicate items.

You can use this as a great place to trade sig items and expand your collection or use it to get started, just please trade fairly.

If you are not interested in sig items, there is pleanty of regular swag.

The cache is located inside of the Whitely Farms ( eastern loop) Trail, in a section of woods that is surrounded by fields. There are many ways to get there, but the easiest is to walk across the open field near where the Connector Trail from Possum Hill intersects the trail. If you pick the correct way into the woods it will be mostly thorn free. Chose wrong and it could be difficult. A large part of this trail has recently been re-routed to stay in the woods instead of the open fields.

You can park at either Possum Hill (off Smith Mill Road) parking area or Whitely Farms parking area off Nine Foot Road, a single lane concrete road. From either location it will be less than a 0.4 mile walk.
