Little-Known Path
At some time in past history, someone for some reason started and created a path through the woods between two island roads, Bay Point Road and Lobdell Point Road. It shortened the walk heading north from one road to the other by about a half a mile. This piece of property is owned by the Town of Washington, and few visitors know of the path or what’s on the other side of the road so close except for some locals and of course the Whitetail Deer.
Deer are interesting creatures. When pressured they will do unbelievable things. When not, they act like any normal creature and take an easy route or the path of least resistance. For an individual who knows the local names for areas around here, to the north is Engelson Swamp to the south is Green Bay Woods and to the east is Kalmbach’s. All areas you will see the Whitetail Deer and this path you’re on is similar to an intersection in the woods for these animals traveling to or from these areas.
The listed coordinates will bring you to the first stage of this two-stage multi-cache. At this first stage you will find a special tool needed to retrieve the cache as well as the coordinates needed to find it. Make sure that you return the cache to its original location after retrieving it and signing the log and return the special tool you used to retrieve it to its proper hiding space.
Both stages of the cache are just off the path to the south so as to not infringe on private property to the north. Keep this in mind when searching, as GPS unit reception will be affected by the cover.
