Geocache Description:

Cache is located on State Game Land. Bushwack only for the last 100 ft. Park at N 41'00.509 W 075'46.029

Back when coal was king, railroads ran all over the anthracite region. This cache is located near the old Sand Run line which brought coal down to the Lehigh River from the Coxe Bros. mine located in northern Hazleton.
The old rail line runs next to a beautiful creek now called Sandy Run until it reaches a point where it used to cross this creek. The train trestle has been removed, but you can still view the abutments and concrete work. Cache container is a 30mm ammo can. Good luck and don't forget to see Sandy run.
