My first cache find in February 2001 was God’s Eye View on Ladyface Mt. How many times I have said that I want to go back up there! Two new caches by Robb Dogg did the trick.

This cache is a decon container hanging in a Chamise. The route goes west from GEV, taking you along a sharp ridge of volcanic rock. Not at all scary, maybe a little class 3 at times, but not much exposure.

So here is the reason for all those people who wrote in the logs of the other caches that they want to get back up here. Who will one-up me by placing another cache further out on the ridge? Looks like lots of room, Sue; BLIG; Campy; Wolf.

After God's Eye View (my main reason for coming up here), this and other caches further west enticed me to continue on a bit. The scramble seemed to get a wee bit harder (at least for me), but still quite doable. This cache was an easy find. Thanks.

Always a pleasure to find a Big Eagle hide. This one's not only a botany lesson, but now I need to research the geology up here too. These little dikes that look like man made enclosures - that's new to me. It's 10 am and going to be real hot soon, so I'm done up here and everything further west will have to wait. Thanks BE!

My 3rd trip up Ladyface...this time to capture the geocaches on this awesome trail. I forgot how steep it really is! TFTC.

There was a break in the weather today so we decided to hike up Ladyface. This was the first time for me. The weather turned out to be perfect, mostly sunny but cool. It's a spectacular trail and has great views. It seems that most people stop at God's Eye View, but we knew from the line of caches that it continues to the west. We found the way pretty easily - thanks for guiding us! . Found the cache after a couple of minutes - TFTC!

I already knew what a chemise is. I even knew what a chamois is. Now I know what a chamise is too.

Thanks for the schooling (and for the cache!)
