We thought that it was a nice day for being out of town so we planted a cache for you. There are more to come soon.
This cache is near the Headwaters of Fall River, Hence the name. Ironic how that worked out.
When you come here, park under the Fly Fishing only sign, tie your stead to the rail, unbuckle your spurs or seat belts and start hiking around.
If you head right, you will find the true headwaters and as you work your way downstream, you will find several bubbling brooks adding their voice to the chorus of the stream as it becomes a river.
Try walking out and testing the depth of the water, as it is cold and clear and deceptive. You should notice the old signs of life attached to the fallen trees. If you look close, you should see one heck of a picnic table. Upon close inspection, you should notice that one of these springs has been worked over in the past.
As your heading towards the cache from the headwaters, You will see several large Ponderosa Pines that should impress you as these large trees are far and few between. Have you ever seen a Burl as large as that before? Also far and few between. Did you notice where people who have went before have chopped out the catface? Do you wonder why? Care to make a guess?
Anyway, the cache is a ammo can painted a tan color and hidden fairly well and I would like it re-hid in the same manner. As the cache is near a hiking trail from the campground, Please, Please erase all signs of your travel after replacing the container.
