Lookout Palomares Traditional Geocache

This cache has been archived.

Krypton: As there's been no response to my previous note, I assume that the cache is not going to be repaired or replaced, so I'm archiving it to keep it from continually showing up in search lists, and to prevent it from blocking other cache placements. If you wish to repair/replace the cache sometime in the future, just contact us, and assuming it meets the guidelines, we'll be happy to unarchive it

Thanks for your cooperation!

Geocache Description:

This is a scenic, backroads drive between Castro Valley and Fremont. Nice view of Stonybrook Canyon from the turnout near the cache location.

This road is part of my commute, so I figured I might as well place a cache along the way (if I see you, maybe I'll 'honk' as I drive by!).Cache container is a smallish tupperware (4x6"). Original contents include a sealed deck of playing cards (used in actual play at Harrah's, Lake Tahoe, [whoopee]), and a portrait of Abe Lincoln, skillfully printed by the Federal Government for the FTF! The cache is very well hidden, but you will NOT have to climb any fences or trespass to find it.BTW, there are two winery tasting rooms along this road, Chouinard and Westover, both less than 1/2 mile from the cache. They're both open Saturdays and Sundays, noon to 5 pm. Enjoy!*Since this cache has already gone missing once, please make sure when you replace it that it isn't visible from the road.*Thanks
