An ammo box along the Ancient Oaks Trail in Russian Ridge Open Space Preserve
The Ancient Oaks Trail is a relatively short flat trail that is my favorite in Russian Ridge Open Space Preserve. Depending on the day, you may see all the way to the ocean, or you may just see fog. Either way, it's a great hike.
The cache is a very short distance from the trail. You do NOT need to bushwhack up a hill. Depending on which direction you take, it may appear that you need to bushwhack up a hill. If it appears that this is the case, continue following the trail, it will get you there eventually.
Please note that Russian Ridge Open Space Preserve is open from sunrise to 1/2 hour after sunset.
