CETTE CACHE SERA BILINGUE ÉVENTUELLEMENT
A walk from a well known location (Metro Longueuil), past local landmarks and establishments in Old Longueuil, including the city hall, to a registered historical location: Le Refuge du poète. From there a short walk to a micro-cache.
The coordinates given above refer to the location of a micro-cache hidden just above the ground in a public park.
You should consider any possible parking location at the beginning of the route, nearest the Metro Longueuil.
Validation question #1: The metro Longueuil station name also refers to a University. Which one?
Waypoint #1: Leave the bus and metro terminus by the front door and proceed away from the river until you reach Blvd. St Charles O.
Waypoint #2: Proceed on Blvd. St. Charles O, in the direction the sun rises from, continuing to walk on the overpass. Continue in the same direction towards the sun rise.
Validation question #2 : Near the next waypoint there is a gazebo in a park to your right. How many posts are used to build the structure.
Waypoint #3: From Blvd. St. Charles O., upon reaching rue St. Jean, turn away from the river, again, and proceed on the left hand side of the street, to the intersection of the street that shares the city name and rue. St. Jean.
Waypoint #4: Look carefully for your destination, Le Refuge du poète, on your left hand side.
Validation question: What was the year of construction of the house, now called Le refuge.
Please do not impose yourself on the occupants, but admire the historical site markings and thoughtful reconstruction from the side walk.
Your adventure can be rewarded by visiting the park where you find the gazebo, you recently passed. The micro-cache is located just above the ground in one of the wooden structures. Careful as many are the same to look at, but only one holds the film canister.
There are various establishments on Blvd. St. Charles O. near rue St. Jean for a refreshment.Enjoy your jaunt.
