Geocache Description:

I was getting tired of trying to find a place for a regular cache, until I found the Natchez city cemetery. Then the question was, just where to place it.

On sept 20, 2009 I had to move the cache again because of storm damage in the area. It is a down hill walk to the cache but going off the side of the cliff is not required.

Natchez Cemetery was established in 1822 on a ten acre tract. This cemetery grew into a park notable for its variety of 19th century Iron & Marble work. People from all walks of life are buried within the cemetery. On Feb.25 I replaced the container changing it to an ammo box and also relocating the hide because of a letter box near the old sight. The ratings have been increase because of the terrain and also the difficulty increased. If you have children you might want to carry a rope, not for climbing,but to tie them to you because there is a dangerous drop off near the cache.You do not have to get near the ledge to find the cache. The container is filled with goodies for the young and old. Good Luck with the hunt. The cemetery does close at dusk and opens at 7:30 am.
