Bring the geo-pups (on their leashes), or take your mountain
bike, or your horse. Trails can be muddy and most are multiple use,
which means a plentiful supply of horse manure. The cache is in
Lord Hill Park and overlooks Temple Pond, a haven for beavers and
mountain beavers.
The main entrance with parking is at N 47 51.684 W 122 03.501.
Look for the signs for the turn off onto 127th Ave SE from the Old
Monroe-Snohomish Highway. For more complete directions, visit the
county website. You may also access the park from the backside
via Tester Road (off the traffic circle at the intersection of
164th and SR 522 in west Monroe) at N 47 49.989 W 122.02.691. The
county is building a new park entrance here but until that is
finished probably in the summer of 2006 there is very limited
unimproved parking by the side of the road. Do not block the gate.
Follow the old quarry road (stay right) that goes up the hill; keep
right at the top and look for the new Quarry Trail, again to the
right, before the pipeline climbs steeply. The lower road that runs
past the barn will take you to several other caches in this part of
the park.
For more information about the park, visit the Friends of Lord Hill
website. You may want to print out a copy of their trail map
although currently it does not include the new Quarry Trail that
connects the backside to the trails at the top; however, here is a
scan of their new
brochure map that does. There are now many other caches in this
very large park so you may want to check them out as well.

Update: Tibby's People adopted this cache August 26,
2007. We moved the cache slightly, from its original hiding spot,
to a spot that is a little more accessible. We also updated the
hint to make this an easier find. Please note that there is no
bushwhacking necessary to reach this cache.
