Pocatello Creek Traditional Cache

This cache has been archived.

MsDelilah: Unfortunately there has been no response regarding this geocache, and sadly I am forced to archive it at this time. If at some point in the near future the cache is determined to still be present or is replaced, please e-mail me via the link on my profile page. If it still meets the current guidelines, we can discuss unarchiving it at that time.

Thank you,

MsDelilah

Geocache Description:

PT Cruzin Series This in one of a series of caches located throughout the Portneuf Valley along I-86 and I-15 each cache has a little bit of history included according to the waypoint area. The Pocatello Tour Cruzin series is for travelers who seek a brake from the interstate but don’t want to get too far off the beaten path. Each stop is PDQ micro (except for Pocatello Creek it is a decon well disguised due to high muggling) and all are in locations where the dog, kids and you can find services available. Most all caches are handicap accessible and you will need your own writing instrument. Good luck and welcome to Pocatello, The Gate City of the Northwest.

If you need a place to bed down for the night this is the area to stop in for a rest. Pocatello Creek is one of the few creeks that still runs open through town. The babbling water can barely be heard over the bussle of traffic. To the East of this waypoint is Pocatello’s Sister City Park (See the Iwamizawa cache page) and further up Pocatello Creek is the KOA and the Buckskin area, even further up is the Hoot Owl quarry, Inman Canyon and Rapid Creek areas. There is even an old city ski lodge it is a beautiful drive but can be rather tricky if during the winter months. The best time is autumn where you can see the beautiful Rocky Mountain foothills in their entire splendor.
