Scenic hike in the vicinity of the Oak Ridge Moraine Trail.
This is a traditional geocache located in the Robinson Tract of the York Region Forest. There are several attack points for this cache. We suggest parking at Whitchurch Conservation area, located at N44.01.427, W079.21.490, on Aurora Rd, between Warden Avenue and Kennedy Road. Depending on your route selection, you may pass a small pond, a horse pasture, a variety of deciduous coniferous trees, an old pine plantation and the Oak Ridge Moraine Trail. The trails leading to the cache are not straight, so expect between a 1.6 and 2.0 km round trip. The cache is approximately 80 metres off the main trail.
The cache is well hidden in a large tupperware container. The original contents included a disposable camera, a hockey player, a pooping alien, many small plastic animals and bugs, F.S. Booster Travel bug, and several finger poppers.
Please note: there have been break-ins in the parking lot. Please do not leave valuables in your car.
Note: Native americans made a weak tea out of wild horsetails, which is supposed to aid the digestion.
