The Little Sioux River is an excellent canoeing river, especially in
Cherokee County. I know because I have canoed most of it. The
Little Sioux also has an excellent catfish population. Also lots of
wildlife located along the river. There are also a number of other
caches located along the little Sioux in different parks, or near them,
in most of the counties the Little Sioux Flows through. Not a typical
WB cache. Let me know if you think the difficult rating is close. Martins
access is a great park along the river. It has horse trails as well as
cabins to rent and of course camping (and lots of geocaches).
There is quite a history associated with Inkpaduta along the Little
Sioux River and other places that he “visited”. For more information
check out “Inkpaduta’s Revenge”. Also please remember “CITO”.
09-02-13 difficulty raised to 3.5.
