How Geocaching Works

Please note

Use of geocaching.com services is subject to the terms and conditions in our disclaimer.

NOTE ATTRIBUTES FOR GEOCACHE ESPECIALLY FOR WARM MONTHS OF SPRING/SUMMER/FALL. The water level has risen, and now you need either hipwaders or knee high galoshes to wade through some water.
Please Park at N 43°49.827' W 091° 16.903' On Shore Acres Road. This road is residential, please don't drive over 30 mph.

The parking place is located at a large electric structure, park in front of it, not under it and do not climb on it. Proceed around the structure on the right side to head towards the cache. Located among the sometimes stinky and occasionally foggy backwaters of the Mississippi River it's the perfect location for a creepy cache. The hike requires long pants (thick shirt or jacket recommended) and boots due to burrs, stinging neddles, and some possible poison ivy, then a slightly muddy/swampy trek. I also recommend bringing a machette/combat knife/hunting knife to hack your way through some of the beginning foliage until a better foot path is formed. If you have a large SUV or jacked up truck DO NOT continue on Shore Acres road past the parking spot as you may lose your roof on the next overpass.
The cache itself is an ammo box containing a good variety of items and log book. Some items are Halloween Themed. Please don't hang yourself in the noose, it's only there for decoration.
