Geocache Description:

Elmore Abbey is a Benedictine Monastery. The Monks are an Anglican community and moved to Elmore Abbey in 1987. Close by is the Church of St. Mary the Virgin. What you can see of the church is mainly Victorian but it was actually mentioned in the Domesday Book. There is a holy well (the Lady Well) 50 metres from the graveyard, this would indicate that this was a religious area before Saxon times. Springs and wells formed part of religious traditions going back to the Iron Age.

You can drive quite close to this location, but a nicer idea would be to find the Northcroft Leasure Centre and take the Lamborne Way footpath at N51 24.265 W001 20.000, which is just over a half mile walk. You could always do "The Park is Unlocked" cache first which is not far from the footpath.
