Geocache Description:

Here's one for all those 'Falls baggers' out there. Surely one of the best (and highest) of its kind in Tassie. A bit of an adventure to get to but well worth the effort.

Approach the cache by 4WD from the West, or on foot - about 3hr (10km) return walk, from the North East. The 4WD trip takes about 1hr one way, and follows the old NE Dundas Railway formation. The 2ft guage line was opened in 1898 to service the Hercules Mine on Mt Reid.

Hint: This trip is in Chris Boden's book "4WD Tracks of Tasmania".

Cache is a 750ml clear plastic container with a green lid. At the time of hiding it contained a Bicycle tyre repair kit, a reversible screwdriver, some small cable ties, pens, a rubber and a souvenier pencil sharpener. The usual log book, pencil and sharpener are also included.

Send someone who isn't afraid of heights to get this one!

GPS gods weren't very helpful when placing this cache (20m accuracy after averaging 200pts!) but use the hint if you have too - its a bit of a trek for a DNF!

Good luck - stay a while and enjoy . .
