Point Pleasant Cemetery was established in 1902 with land donated by John Sprock at the time of his wife Annetta’s death. At that time several bodies were removed from Franklin District Cemetery and reinterred at Point Pleasant. It is a well-maintained small, family cemetery. It used to be in the middle of nowhere, but with the sprawl continuing south of Elk Grove, and now through Franklin, who knows how much longer this will be true.
The cache container is a large cigar tube, camo'd. It's now an easy drive-up, but feelfree to walk through and browse some of the headstones. This is a private cemetery however, so please respect it and those who have loved ones here.
(Note - This is a "Traveler Friendly" cache - any travel bugs or coins left for any length of time will be given new papers and baggies/coin pouches and moved on)
