the name tells the story ...these are a couple of our favourite puzzles to add a bit of flavour to the cache. this is the second in a series of caches which are not extreme but a bit more challenging. this one is not so physical but you have a bit more to think about than usual.
part one:
the aim is to make 3 three digit numbers from the numbers 1-9. each number can only be used once.the 3 numbers will be called ABC DEF and GHI.
DEF shall be two times ABC and GHI will be three times ABC. there are only a few different solutions to this so get puzzling.
CHECK:A+B+C+D+E = F+G+H+I+1
G-C=B
D+B=H
part two:
some quick calculations
(F.G)/D=Z
H+I-C=Y
(B.A)-E=X
(H+F)/A=W
G-D-A=V
I+B=U
(C+V)/X=T
(E+F).Y-G=S
(W+I)/X=R
F+W=Q
part three:
now that Q-Z have been solved they can be used to substitute for the final puzzle.
