The following morning on Sunday the 3rd of April there will be a possible group walk on the full or a shortened version of Billy Twigger's circular geowalk on South Bute.
For details of Billy Twigger's Geohike walk read the full description here and note especially the start co-ordinates for the carpark at N 55* 44.807 W 005* 00.954 (NS108545) which will be our meeting place on Sunday for the start of the walk at 9.00am.
It may be worth while thinking about arriving on the Friday night and staying overnight to make an early start on the Saturday morning prior to the meet up in the Black Bull Inn on Saturday evening. The following links are the Ferry timetables and possible Hotel and B&B accommodation sources.

BT has commented that the full Geohike may be best left for the Summer months and has suggested that perhaps the walk could be organised by forming two teams where one team parks at Kichattan Bay and the other at the Plan and swap car keys as they pass en route! Or some variation of this co-operative scheme! Of course on Sunday there is no reason why anyone should not just go geocaching on their own and explore this scenic island while sampling some of the great caches to be found on Bute! Enjoy!
