I celebrate an annual family campout where 15-20 family members gather for 3-4 days. Butano was our 18th annual and Elmo is short for my family's name, Elmensdorp. I wanted to create a bountiful cache where cachers could deposit bigger items.
Park your car on Butano Park Road near the Olmo Fire Road entrance at N 37° 12.219 W 122° 19.862. The cache is only .3 from that point (after trekking uphill to get to Going Gazos & Candelabra, I wanted to place one nearby to give hikers a quicker find).
The GPS was so spotty, I couldn’t get a reading even in the dried pond clearing just past the geocache site. When I tried to edit the coordinates based on the FTF's coordinates, I was informed it was now too far away from the original coordinates and had to make a new one; hence "...Revisited". BUT THEN I was informed the "new" one was too close to another cache (those micros thwart me every time!). Luckily, that micro was coming up DNF & Woof! was kind enough to archive it, in essence, "clearing the path" to mine. THANKS WOOF!
