Se puede dejar el coche en N 40º18.505, W 3º41.448. Desde aquí, y aunque ya estamos a muy pocos metros del caché, os propongo la siguiente ruta, por la que rodearemos el cerro visitando los bunkeres y trincheras de la Guerra Civil Española que han perdurado como testigos de los enfrentamientos entre las tropas nacionales del General Varela, y la XII Brigada Internacional en la defensa de Madrid, siendo el Cerro de Los Ángeles un frente de guerra muy activo en esta batalla.
Desde el coche ponemos rumbo a N 40º18.579, W 3º41.245. Dice la tradición popular que el punto tan curiosamente señalado es el centro geográfico de España. (Aunque no he podido contrastarlo documentalmente).
Ahora nos dirigiremos a N 40º18.568, W 3º41.166, donde encontraremos un bunker en excelente estado de conservación. Desde aqui seguimos el sendero hacia nuestra izquierda (direccion norte) para ir rodeando el cerro en el sentido de las agujas del reloj.En nuestro paseo alrededor del cerro podremos ver otros dos emplazamientos derruidos, primero en N 40º18.452, W 3º40.977, y después en N 40º18.402, W 3º41.013
En este punto ya estamos muy cercanos al geocaché, que podremos encontrarlo en la última de estas fortificaciones, en N 40º18.416, W 3º41.067
El microcache es una caja de carrete fotogrático. El contenido inicial es:
- Dos tiras de papel enrrolladas a modo de log-book.
- Un lápiz pequeñito. (Conviene llevar bolígrafo).
- Un fusible de automóvil.
- Una piedra de cristal azul.
- Un clip.
- Una moneda de 1 penique.
- Una moneda de 1 peseta.
Por último recomiendo subir hasta el monumento de la basílica para disfrutar de unas extraordinarias vistas sobre Madrid y la zona sur de la capital.

You can park the car at N 40º18.505, W 3º41.448. From here, although already we are very closed to the cache, I suggest the following route, so we will surround the hill having visited the remains of bunkers and trenches of the Spanish Civil War; witness of the confrontations between the nationalist troops commanded by General Varela, and The XII International Brigade in the battle for the defense of Madrid.

Now we will go to N 40º18.568, W 3º41.166, where we will find a bunker in excellent state of conservation. From here, we will follow the footpath towards our left (North direction) to go for a walk surrounding the hill in the sense by the needles of the clock.In our walking around the hill we can see other two demolished locations, first in N 40º18.452, W 3º40.977, and later in N 40º18.402, W 3º41.013
At this point we are very closed to the cache, so we will be able to find it in the last of these fortifications, in N 40º18.416, W 3º41.067
The microcache is a photographic film box. The initial content is:
- Two twisted pieces of paper as a log-book.
- A little pencil. (I suggest you to use your own ball-point pen).
- A car fuse.
- A blue crystal stone.
- A paper clip.
- 1 penny coin.
- 1 old peseta coin.
Finally I suggest to you to raise until the monument in the top of the hill to enjoy this extraordinary views on Madrid and the South zone of the capital.
